Ballet and PreK

This week Natalie started PreK at High Point Christian School. I still cannot believe I have a child old enough to go to school! She seems to be loving it and I look forward to at least a few weeks of "mommy time" before this baby gets here (she goes in the afternoons while Garrett naps). Finally, all caught up on the blog!

By her hook at her school. Yes, this was the closest thing to a smile she gave me.
Outside the school, with neither of them looking OR smiling!
Again, I can't explain the pose, it's better than the other ones!
We also started another session of Storybook Ballet this week. She's trying to do the same pose as the fairy on the wall behind her.
Garrett in the all pink studio, oh the joys of having a big sister. She'll be forced to go to your stuff soon enough little man.

Vacation at Moshawquit Lake

We were blessed to be able to spend a week of time up north at Moshawquit Lake at the very end of August. It was so nice to have so much time together as a family and have some great friends along for part of it too.

Natalie and Garrett playing a water game she devised.
Life can't get much better, can it?
Mommy and my three precious kids at the Lakewood Zoo.
Natalie making a sand angel.
Not sure who is the bigger kid at heart here.
My kids on my Dad's Harley, it was difficult to get Garrett off this thing!
Shucking corn with Gramma Pat.
Natalie's fish, I think she caught a dozen that afternoon.

Garrett's fish, apparently a big one.
Cute kids on the pontoon boat.

Vilas Zoo

We visited our awesome free zoo in Madison towards the end of August.

Daddy and Garrett on the carousel lion, as Garrett likes to call it a "roar".
I thought this picture was funny because I am having such hard time getting them to look at the camera and smile for photos lately. Sometimes this is the best you can do!
I think they posed next to every single one of these statues that day, and if you have not been there lately, there are a LOT of them. Their choice, NOT mine!
Kiddos on the turtle, think G is squishing Natalie a little?
All five of us!

Gramma Camp

Every summer, my mom and dad have all the older grandkids out to the farm for a week to do what we call "Gramma Camp", it's always a good time for everyone!

Rachel riding her pony Peanut.
All five of them at Mulberry Lanes, a petting zoo/farm nearby. What animals!!
Natalie loving the baby bunnies.
Garrett on the pony ride, a little unsure, but I was impressed he did it! He's not a big animal lover.
Natalie on her pony ride with my sister Shawn assisting her.
Garrett loving the tractor again, sense a theme with this boy? We went on a tractor ride later where we sat on haybales in a trailer in the back and he said "No ride that mommy, me DRIVE that!" Something tells me we won't make it to 16 without him driving a lot of motorized vehicles.

What cute kiddos at the Little Farmer, an apple orchard nearby.Garrett loving the big trikes with Rachel.

Me and my lifegroup girlies, we have a busy, busy fall in store for us!

Natalie with her new flashlight, they got them free at a Verona firemen's picnic event.

Devil's Lake

This was actually at the very end of July, but as usual, I'm behind in posting. We spent a wonderful day at Devil's Lake with some wonderful friends.

A family photo with everyone looking AND smiling, probably should frame it!
