Christmas Preparations

This time of year is a busy one for me, as it is for many people. Preparing for Christmas takes a lot of time and effort, through it all though, we try to focus on the real reasons for the holiday...Jesus, family, friends, love and laughter.

St Nick's

In my family, we always celebrated St Nick's on December 6th, we got to have our stockings filled then. It was always so fun for me, I hope my kids enjoy it as much as I did when I was little.

Carrie Underwood

My husband is awesome!! My birthday was yesterday, Dec 9, and as my gift, he took me to the Carrie Underwood concert last Tuesday!!! This man does not even know one of her songs...well maybe one, and the female to male ratio in there ws definitely askew. He must love me a ton. The concert was so much fun, it ranks up there with one of the best birthdays ever.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving #1 with our lifegroup at our house, #2 with David's Aunt and Uncle and #3 with my parents and sisters. It was quite the holiday...I'm done with turkey for awhile.

My New Nephew

David's brother Tony and his wife Lillie had their baby boy on November 20. His name is Henry, and he is just as cute as can be! I'm sure Garrett and him will have lots of great memories of growing up together so close in age, I'm so thankful for such a great family.
